Rules for Ireland

1. Look Right! no Look Left! no Look Down! - The cars here drive on the opposite side of the street...so don't look left or you will get hit! You look right first. Actually the streets are so weird that you have to look both ways...and your best bet is just to look down. Most streets say on the ground which way to look!
   
2. Objects on the map may be further then they appear! - Everything looks so close on the maps..but the maps are very deceiving. Dublin for example is a very large city. So I find my 'short walks' taking much longer that I would have guessed.
   
3. What did you say? - Seems like everyone I meet speaks some other language than English...so most the time I find nodding works!
   
4. Where are we? - Ok..so street signs in Ireland are not on poles like in the US they are on the building (if the name is displayed at all). So you find yourself looking at the buildings a lot just to try and gage where you are at.
