So the British have a funny way of using different flavors with their food. They use a spicy mustard and a spicy chili version ketchup by default. So the other day when I got a hot dog from this stand I was surprised to find the plethora of flavors in just one hot dog. The two spicy flavors combined with some very sweet onions made me wish I had eaten elsewhere...hehe. I was freezing though and I was starving so I scarfed it down. Just a warning to anyone going to the UK...hot dogs do not taste like hot dogs! I'm sure there are many other things that do not taste them same. In both Ireland and the UK you have to specify what kind of water you want. Sparkling, Still or Tap. Still is basically bottled water without any carbonation. I'm not sure about the UK but in Ireland its perfectly normal to drink tap water. So don't get sucked into paying for still water.
So yesterday I took a river ride up the Thames to Greenwich. It was very interesting seeing all the buildings along the river in Westminster / London. Then i walked through a park in Greenwich to the Royal Greenwich Observatory. This was the center of time really for the world for many years and is where Greenwich Mean Time came from. The building is located on the Prime Meridian so you can actually stand in both the Eastern and Western hemispheres at the same time! There is also a museum with lots of old clocks and stuff. Probably boring for most but I found it extremely interesting due to my interest in the definition of time. I mean this place was the center of time for years!
Well I leave London today for Paris. Should be an interesting change. So far I have been in English speaking countries. Now I will have to use what little French I know and point a lot I would guess..hehe. You know 'Ew Lay...*point*' lol. So far though I have found the French very fun to hang around with. I just hope they are the same in their own country.

So can you drink the tap water in England, or do you have to buy the still? I would really love being in Greenwich too, seems like there would be something magical about the place that is the center of time. How was your stay with Jill? What kind of job prospects did you find in both Ireland and England? It sounds like the nodding you learned in Ireland will come in handy in France. And hey don't worry if they don't like you cuz we all think that French people suck.... Jerry Lewis my ass.....
Aren't we French, aren't we Irish, aren't we English, Scottish, German & according to some 90% Indian? David you should have a lot in common over there. Just go to the cemetaries & visit our ancestors. HeHe... Sounds like you are having fun. Have of in Paris. I would love to go there some day. Take lots of pictures! Miss you terribly.
We must be French because I met a French woman in Ireland that looked just like mom! I swear...she was a little bit taller...but the same build and hair...it was quite a trip. I got drunk with my mom!
And slept with her!
You know in movies where a guy will think about his mother when having sex to prolong himself....well I guess in this case it might not work...lol.
Oh and for the record I did not sleep with that French woman.
all ize know the half black i got make me b a hanging low
Hi! Wow! It all sounds so interesting! All those skeletons would be weird and yet awesome at the same time. I guess I need to brush up on my history. Half of the places you name I have heard of, but I don't know really what they are. Oh well, I guess I will have to just go there someday! If you see any castles, take lots of pictures :)! Have fun and be safe! Love ya, M
